MARRIED with Board Games Why this blog?

Why this blog?

The three biggest problems for board gamers, must be cost, space and time, Costs and space are the biggest problems for us, and we are trying to be a bit more selective of what we buy. Of course time is also an issue, but luckily we have a fair bit of time during the winter, where we can just play board games. Yay! 🙂 We want to make sure we buy games we will enjoy, but at the same time we also want to make sure that we are not just buying the same type of game over and over again… It’s a balancing act, and we are learning as we go… play!

We have decided to review all the games we own, to see if there is anything we should get rid of, to make space for new ones. At the moment, we have pretty much reached the limit on the amount of games we can fit in the space we have available.

We will try to play as many of them as we can, whilst trying to be more critical of the games. The problem with us, is that we like most things. Some games might be reviewed/scored without us playing them again. It could be games that have a sentimental reason, or games that we just do not want to get rid of for whatever reason… or games that will take SO much time to play, that it will not be practical to play through them again, if we want to finish the task before we get too old. And yeah Gloomhaven and the likes… We are looking at you. We love you, but you will have to wait until we have the time.
